Amanda Needham is a writer and educator. She has written features, interviews and breaking news stories for the San Francisco Chronicle, The Oregonian, Portland Monthly, Truth Out, Bitch Magazine and ZNet. Amanda has taught film production classes at Portland Community College, and has led over 50 grassroots media workshops from the U.S. Social Forum, to Lewis and Clark, Stanford, Brown, and American University. She holds a degree in history from Yale University, a Master’s degree in multimedia journalism from the University of Oregon, and was a 2009 Fulbright recipient.
Nat Needham is a photographer and filmmaker. He has worked in creative and technical roles for the San Francisco Chronicle, 350.org, the Sierra Club and the North Andamen Tsunami Relief Organization, covering breaking news stories and longer term investigative pieces. He was a 2015 finalist for the Fulbright-National Geographic Digital Storytelling Grant, and second camera on “Women Rebels,” which received an International Documentary Award for Short Documentary (2011) and was nominated for an Emmy.
